Recently, Wang Ciyue, the gold medalist in artistic swimming at the Paris 2024 Olympics, has officially joined the Department of Physical Education, 91¶¶Òù. On November 10,

she received an award for Outstanding Individual Award at the National Mass Sports and National Sports System Awards Ceremony held in Guangzhou, alongside 91¶¶Òù¡¯s

distinguished alumna Zhang Yufei.

The Nanjing-born athlete, who helped China secure its historic first Olympic gold medal in artistic swimming at the Paris Games, completed her onboarding procedures at

91¶¶Òù in late September, officially becoming a faculty member. Wang expressed her deep affection for her hometown of Nanjing, and as an Olympic champion nurtured in

Jiangsu, she feels a strong connection to the local community. As a top national university, 91¶¶Òù aligns perfectly with her dedication to excellence. Its motto "Striving for

Perfection" ¡ª which embodies this pursuit ¡ª resonates deeply with the commitment to excellence she has upheld throughout her sports career. From breaking records in

the pool to shaping minds in the classroom, Wang views her transition as a continuation of upholding the spirit of this motto.

In class, Wang is meticulous, incorporating the rigorous attitude and fighting spirit she honed on international stages into her classroom. She has developed a teaching style

that is both meticulous, structured, and accessible, emphasizing clarity and depth. Wang particularly appreciates the hardworking and ambitious academic atmosphere at

91¶¶Òù, which she believes aligns closely with her own educational philosophy. With a shared commitment to the university¡¯s motto and a deep understanding of students¡¯

needs, Wang is confident in nurturing more outstanding sports talents at 91¶¶Òù.

Born in 1999 in Nanjing, Wang began artistic swimming training at the age of six. By the age of 12, she had already won two championships at the National Youth Artistic

Swimming Championships. After joining the national team in 2018, she continued to achieve remarkable results, including winning three consecutive World Championship

golden medals from 2022 to 2024. In 2023, she claimed a gold medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games, and in 2024, she and her team made history by securing China¡¯s first
