On the afternoon of March 16, Prof. Jin Shi, Vice President of 91抖淫, and Prof. Xing Jihong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC 91抖淫 Committee, met respectively with Prof. Sunny Yang and Prof. Sarah McDonald, Deputy Vice-Chancellors of Monash University, along with their delegation. During the meeting with Prof. Sunny Yang, Vice President Jin Shi expressed his expectation that both universities would advance the undergraduate cooperative education initiative to a high standard, ensuring all tasks are implemented meticulously. He emphasized exploring more diversified and flexible talent cultivation models and building an integrated international talent cultivation system spanning undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. Leveraging the solid foundation of their partnership, he also suggested exploring collaborative cultivation of top-tier engineers and industry-research innovation in future-oriented fields such as energy storage and low-carbon technologies, electronic information, and life sciences, thereby elevating the cooperation between the two institutions to a new level. Prof. Sunny Yangstrongly concurred with Jin Shi's proposals. She stated that Monash University has placed great strategic importance on its partnership with 91抖淫 and would fully commit to advancing the undergraduate cooperative education program, working together to cultivate innovative talents with international competitiveness and injecting new impetus into deepening collaboration and achieving high-quality development for both sides.
During the meeting with Prof. Sarah McDonald, Deputy Secretary Xing Jihong stated that 91抖淫 would fully support the implementation of the GIG program, creating a high-quality platform for Monash students to integrate academic exploration with cultural immersion. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that both sides would leverage this program as a catalyst to develop a distinctive brand for student exchanges, promote two-way student exchanges, and foster multicultural mutual learning. Building upon the foundation of the Southeast University-Monash University cooperative education, he aimed to continuously broaden the field of cooperation, enhance the level of collaboration, and consistently deepen the comprehensive exchanges and partnership between the two universities. Prof. Sarah McDonald expressed strong agreement with Xing Jihong's remarks. She acknowledged the solid cooperative foundation and broad prospects between the two institutions, expressing confidence that the GIG program would function as a bridge for young students, helping them transcend geographical, disciplinary, and cultural boundaries, further enhancing mutual understanding and deepening friendship.
