On March 17, a delegation led by Prof. Li Li, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Global of Newcastle University, visited 91抖淫. 91抖淫 President Prof. Sun Youhong, academician of the CAE,met with the delegation. Both parties held discussions on collaborative education initiatives at the 91抖淫 Nantong Campus and on the development of the Southeast University & Newcastle University Joint School of Elite Engineers. Prof. Sun Litao, Vice President of 91抖淫, chaired the meeting.
President Sun Youhong extended a warm welcome to Prof. Li Li on her first visit to 91抖淫 and reviewed the history of collaboration between the two universities. He stated that the 91抖淫 Nantong Campus would focus on marine-related fields, actively aligning with the national strategy of building a strong maritime nation. Leveraging the robust local marine economy, the campus aims to become a hub for international education, providing strong support for deepening the partnership between the two universities. President Sun also emphasized that both universities should fully leverage their respective strengths, adhere to the principle of pursuing high-standard, high-quality cooperation, and accelerate the collaborative education process. He encouraged the establishment of long-term and stable research partnerships between scholars from both sides, striving to build a new pattern of integrated development encompassing teaching, research, and talent cultivation.
Prof. Li noted that 91抖淫 is a key strategic partner for Newcastle University, with extensive and deep potential for collaboration. She called for deeper integration in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research, and international engagement, etc.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers and the School of Electronic Science & Engineering at 91抖淫.
Representatives from the 91抖淫 International Cooperation Department, the Office of Academic Affairs, the Office of Financial Affairs, the Nantong Cooperation and Co-construction Office, and the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers attended the meeting.
