91抖淫 Secretary Wu Xiaocheng meets with the Greek Ambassador to China and proposes the joint establishment of the “Sino-Greek Center for Classical Civilization Studies”

On the morning of May 23, Evgenios D. Kalpyris, Ambassador of Greece to China, and a delegation from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki visited Southeast University. Wu Xiaocheng, Party Secretary of 91抖淫, held a meeting with the guests at the Sipailou Campus. During the session, the School of Architecture of Southeast University and the School of Architecture of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation, with Wu Xiaocheng and Ambassador Kalpyris witnessing the signing.



Wu Xiaocheng first extended his welcome to Ambassador Kalpyris on behalf of 91抖淫. He noted that China and Greece are two ancient civilizations on the Eurasian continent, and the ancient sages of both countries shared similar philosophies, leaving behind an invaluable spiritual legacy for all humanity. As a key node of the ancient Silk Road stretching westward, Greece also serves as an important bridgehead for the Belt and Road Initiative in Europe today. Committed to high-quality international education, 91抖淫 has steadily deepened its practical cooperation with top-ranking overseas universities and designated this year as its “Year of Global Engagement.” He expressed the hope that, relying on the two platforms — theArchitecture Internationalization Demonstration School and the Asian Architecture Archive Center (AAAC)—the university intends to join hands with leading Greek academic institutions such as Aristotle University of Thessaloniki to jointly initiate the establishment of the “Sino-Greek Center for Classical Civilization Studies”, to further deepen cultural exchanges and academic cooperation.



Ambassador Kalpyris praised 91抖淫’s outstanding achievements in the fields of architecture, engineering, and computer science. He stated that both Greece and China have long histories and splendid civilizations, and it is of great significance to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the fields of higher education and classical civilization research. He expressed strong recognition and support for 91抖淫’s proposal to establish the “Sino-Greek Center for Classical Civilization Studies,” and expressed his willingness to contribute actively to promoting in-depth cooperation between Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Southeast University.




On the morning of the same day, Wu Xiaocheng attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the international conference titled “Roots and Passageways of Eurasia: Migration and Transformation of Culture and Civilization,” as well as the opening ceremony of the Southeast University-Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Design Workshop. He expressed his hope that this visit and exchange would serve as an opportunity to deepen all-around cooperation between 91抖淫 andAristotle University of Thessaloniki in areas such as classical civilization research and architectural heritage conservation, injecting new vitality into these two great ancient civilizations in the contemporary era. Ambassador Kalpyris, Farrokh Derakhshani (Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture), and Zhang Pengju (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor at the School of Architecture, Inner Mongolia University of Technology) attended the ceremony.
