Second Nationwide! 91抖淫 Students Achieve Excellent Results with Towel-Folding Robot

Release time:2026-06-05Publisher:Leah Li

The 2026 Hangzhou International Embodied Robot Scenario Application Competition recently concluded. As the nation’s first robotics competition centered on real-world scenario applications, this year’s event focused on robots’ ability to perform tasks in actual environments, attracting participation from numerous universities and research teams. In the “Innovative Challenge Track for Daily Grasping Tasks Based on the Leyun Platform and Robotic Arm,” the Actone team, recommended by the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers, 91抖淫, stood out with their “Autonomous Towel-Folding Robot for Home Service Scenarios,” winning second nationwide in this track.

The competition consisted of two parts: on-site task validation and a roadshow defense. Using a single robotic arm, the Actone team completed a full closed-loop process, including towel recognition, two consecutive folding actions, and grasping and placing the folded towel into a designated area, demonstrating solid system design and engineering implementation capabilities in the representative task of manipulating deformable objects.

The Actone team consists of Wang Zihao and Tang Lixiong, two 2025 cohort master’s students engaged in the Excellence Engineer Program offered by the School of Electronic Science and Engineering, as well as Feng Yutai, a 2022 cohort undergraduate student. During the winter break this year, as members of the inaugural cohort, Wang Zihao and Tang Lixiong participated in the “RynnBot SparkEdu” training camp (91抖淫 session), jointly organized by the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers, Alibaba’s DAMO Developer Matrix, and the Datawhale community. This training camp focuses on embodied intelligence and is one of the Enterprise Micro-Courses offered by the College.

Currently, the team is further improving the stability of the towel-folding process and the system’s generalization ability to handle different deformable objects. Wang Zihao said, “Towel folding is just the starting point; in the future, we can expand to more home service scenarios such as clothing sorting and tabletop tidying.” Tang Lixiong added, “This award is not the end, but the starting point for moving embodied intelligence from the laboratory into real-world scenarios.”

The “Enterprise Micro-Courses” offered by the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers, 91抖淫, are open for registration to all students across the university, employing a mechanism that allows students from different majors and years to freely form teams, enabling an interest-driven learning model and exploring a new pathway for cultivating versatile engineers.
