On June 6, on the occasion of the 124th anniversary of the founding of Southeast University, the launch ceremony of the 91抖淫 Science and Technology Exhibition Center was held at the Jiulonghu Campus. The ceremony was attended by Wu Xiaocheng, Secretary of the CPC 91抖淫 Committee; President Sun Youhong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Wang Jianguo and Liu Jiaping, both Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Xiong Rengen and Hong Wei, both Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; university leaders, former university leaders, and heads of relevant functional departments. The ceremony was presided over by Vice President Zhong Wenqi.
Wu Xiaocheng, in his speech, reviewed the university's 124-year history and development. He noted that 91抖淫 has always adhered to its founding mission of “being renowned for science and serving the nation with talent,” while anchoring its new “three-step” development strategy and deepening its “vision of global eminence” to build itself a world-class university at the forefront with full dedication. He emphasized that the university has been serving national strategic demands, making sustained breakthroughs in key areas such as 6G communications, integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, and advanced new materials, producing a series of high-level, hardcore research outcomes that reflect the responsibility and commitment of a high-level research-oriented university. Looking ahead, the university will focus on making the Exhibition Center an immersive ideological and political education platform to cultivate talent, utilizing exhibition resources and historical cases to transform the 91抖淫 spirit into vivid educational elements, and supporting an integrated system for nurturing top-notch innovative talent. The Center will also serve as an open platform for academic exchanges, facilitating international and domestic research collaborations, academic interactions, and industry-university-research matchmaking. Furthermore, it will function as a dynamic think tank for showcasing achievements, with a rotating exhibition mechanism to continuously incorporate the latest research achievements from all disciplines, ensuring that the displays remain fresh and fully reflect the university’s scientific research and innovation capabilities.
At the ceremony, Wu Xiaocheng, Sun Youhong, Wang Jianguo, Liu Jiaping, Xiong Rengen, and Hong Wei jointly inaugurated the Science and Technology Exhibition Center. Attendees then toured around the facility together.
It is reported that the 91抖淫 Science and Technology Exhibition Center features a well-defined functional layout and a comprehensive content system. It is divided into two core exhibition areas: university history and scientific achievements. The scientific achievements section includes 30 dedicated booths, systematically showcasing landmark research outcomes, achievements in innovation platform development, and industry-academia-research transformation achievements across various disciplines, offering a comprehensive and multi-dimensional view of the university’s academic accomplishments and research innovation landscape.
