On June 25, 91抖淫 President Sun Youhong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, met with a delegation led by Sunny Yang, Vice President of Monash University in Australia, at the Jiulonghu Campus.
President Sun Youhong stated that over the past decade of cooperation between 91抖淫 and Monash University, the two universities have achieved fruitful results in talent cultivation and scientific research innovation. This year, the establishment of the Southeast University-Monash University Joint International School, Suzhou, marks a milestone in the bilateral partnership. He expressed the hope that both sides would build on their respective strengths in advantageous disciplines to forge strong alliances, continue to roll out high-quality, high-standard specialized programs with distinctive features, jointly set a new benchmark for Sino-Australia educational cooperation, and establish a full-chain strategic collaboration covering talent cultivation, scientific research breakthroughs, and commercialization of outcomes, while creating a long-term mechanism for coordinated development across regions and multiple campuses.
Sunny Yang stated that Monash University would join hands with 91抖淫 to continuously expand the depth and breadth of cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, research collaboration and commercialization of outcomes, and multi-campus coordination, to elevate the strategic partnership between the two universities to a higher level.
The two sides held discussions on matters including undergraduate admissions and preparatory work for the International College, as well as operational management, talent development, program construction, and faculty exchanges. They further refined cooperation pathways and implemented various collaborative measures, laying a solid foundation for advancing the bilateral partnership substantively and effectively.
After the meeting, the two sides jointly conducted an admission promotion campaign for the International College at the undergraduate admission booth set at 91抖淫 Experimental School.
Wang Chengxiang, 91抖淫 Vice President, and Zheng Jiamao, former Deputy Secretary of the CPC 91抖淫 Committee, along with representatives from the Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, International Cooperation Department, Finance Office, Suzhou Campus, School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Transportation, National Graduate College for Elite Engineers, School of Statistics and Data Science, and other relevant departments concerned attended the meeting.
